Because instant coffee is both cheaper and tastier than all other forms of coffee. It is coffee in its final, perfected form. On top of that you can throw it in other things like protein shakes, yogurt, desserts, etc.
I think they cause you to build a tolerance rather rapidly. I tried using caffeine pills for a while but discovered that having a Red Bull (for the added sugar and vitamins) actually did a better job overall.
You have to adjust your grinder extra coarse so they coffee won't form a vacuum and be used to press down, it's steeping for 3-4 minutes so it takes longer, you're still left with all the mud and sludge in your cup because it doesn't actually filter worth a damn, and you still have to wash it thoroughly or the coffee oils will go rancid and start flavoring the coffee with repeat usage.
Isn’t there a whole process with these things? Like you need a proper kettle with a spout to wet down the filter, then dump the filter water, then add the grounds, then pour water evenly over the grounds…
Don’t get me wrong, it makes a good cuppa, but with a French press I literally just boil water in a pot, then dump it in the press, wait 5 min, and squish it down
For me it's the aeropress >$35 at walmart >1 billion filters for $5 >makes a strong concentrated cup that you can add additional water too >no silty coffee >clean up is dropping the dry puck of coffee grounds into you house plants
In any of these post did it not clue in how much more work this is?

how is that out of your way?
you're collecting all of your kitchen scraps anyway, just dump the grounds on top of them and then take them out to the bin as per usual.

I toss everything into the garbage I don’t have a compost
Variety is the Hispanice of life, and variety in coffee is what keeps coffee interesting.
Gimme that instant, that press, that pourover, that 'spresso, that iced!
>coffee >interesting
I drink it so I have the energy to get up and work without wanting to literally kill myself. It being interesting is the last thing I had in mind.
French press slickers keep on moving, this is an instant board
french press is fine but it doesn't make espresso.
While OP enjoys his goytoy, im making instant coffee and getting on with my day.
LMAO
Why not just take a caffeine pill at that point?
>Gracious me! Too fancy for an IV drip

thats what I do.

What you say is true, but it doesn't have a timer like my drip machine. I like to wake up to hot coffee, so that's a trade-off I'm willing to make.
Think I've used a French press for foaming malk more than coffee. They're just kinda like, annoying to deal with.
>They're just kinda like, annoying to deal with.
how?
it's the single simplest and easiest way to make coffee.
>You have to adjust your grinder extra coarse
boo hoo, you have to adjust your grinder for every machine and every individual coffee anyway.
>it's steeping for 3-4 minutes so it takes longer
all coffee takes ~4 minutes.
>and you still have to wash it thoroughly
throw the mesh in the dishwasher once a week, big whoop.
>it's the single simplest and easiest way to make coffee.
>Blocks your path

uhhh someone tell this guy about instant coffee
Unless you drink your coffee black you will not be able to taste the differences between instant, French press, drip
french press and pourover are actually good enough to drink black.
instant and drip are not.
Nobody does that though
people who like coffee do that.
Not in private
don't act like you go outside.
Unless you’re adding way too much sugar you can easily tell the difference between instant and normal.
>Unless you drink your coffee black
I do because I'm not a homosexual

But that takes more effort and is a bitch to clean
>rinse grounds directly into compost
where is the hard part?
I don’t have a compost box to start
I use a cat litter 5gal bucket. Wait for it to get about half full and dump it on the pile outback. Its mostly coffee but also veg scraps
I don’t have a yard
use your municipal compost collection
In any of these post did it not clue in how much more work this is?

Eww.
compost? I just wash it down the sink
you need running water to get it all out, do you just pour the water into the compost? I just pour it into a strainer
I used one for years and now I prefer drip.
why do you waste tens of dollars on a french press when instant is both cheaper and makes better coffee?
I’ve heard of Jacob’s but never seen it in store. Usually I buy Davidoff for my instant. Any other recommended brands that aren’t Nestle?
Percolators are Superior to French press. Percolator Chad here checking in.
Culinaly is a moka pot board

why waste your time drinking something you dont like? caffeine pills exist you know
Why do women drink cum if it tastes bad?
Cum taste really good, it's full of minerals and vitamins
>why waste money on an oven when you have a pan
Because it doesn't filter the toxins out of the coffee like paper filters do.
anon the toxins come from the paper filters in the first place
Drip coffee makers don’t use paper filters anymore, boomer. They use charcoal filters
Enter.
