      >generally speaking we have so many fast food places vending machines are obsolete
      This.
Also, convenience stores/gas stations sell items, and many are 24/7, where you walk in and get your gatorade grape drink, pork rinds and fresh hot dog or apple fritter. If you want vending machine items, they got it all too, from ramen bowls to a frozen burrito to nuke in your hotel room. There's no need for a machine that needs servicing or might be vandalized, because an employee will be minding the store.
At my old university, I appreciated an elevator landing area with 3 "healthy" vending machines, a soda machine, and a non-soda machine. There were daily replaced wrap sandwiches, like hummus, curry chicken salad, yogurt parfaits, whole fruit, granola bars, etc. The non-sodas were everything from red bull to gatorade to V8. I got the V8 often in that building before a class.

I don't think that logic fully works out when Japan likely has a similar number or fast food places/convenience stores at least in Tokyo compared to a western city but still have vending machines everywhere. He'll their convenience stores are also a hell of a lot better than ours offering food you would actually wanna eat.

You kidding? Vending machines are where you can still meet interesting people. People who carry cash and coin. Or maybe yeah, people who don't want to deal with too much shit, but a single person is alright. Vending machines are damned cool.

Unless the vending machine is on a street where bars are I could see it possibly being interactive. Only way I see stand alone vending machines being a thing, is if it's a building specifically for them. Meaning you walk inside and it's nothing but vending machines.

Every time threads about Japanese vending machines being in weird areas get posted people reply simply to say that we don’t have them in the US because of Black folk. OP was trying to subtly seek that reply for le epic lols. Maybe I’ve just been here too long to the point where I feel like I can interpret the thought behind every post. Probably because it’s been so repetitive since the 2016 Reddit invasion.

You're post 2016 if you feel the need to call someone out for subtle racism.

Actually I first came here from Newgrounds in 2006. The racism isn’t the obnoxious part. It’s the repetitive race baiting with the same punch lines. Stale content. Be racist, but at least try to be funny instead of reposting reposts of reposts because you know it’s a tried and true “call and response”.

I’m having a breakdown? I’m simply calling out a homosexual for being stale and making an underlying suggestion that he makes better threads. There’s enough decent content in the heaps of trash to keep me here and I don’t use any other forms of social media besides my old Facebook that is simply there so I can keep in contact with old friends and family.

they do exist, just that they don't look as aesthetic as Japanese vending machines nor do they carry things like beer or cigarettes. People are just more violent outside of Japan, the average Japanese wouldn't think of breaking that machine in the OP pic to steal the contents and money inside but a North American might, especially if the machine is located in a rural area with almost no one around

that's because you think like a hard-working, problem solving white man when tasked with robbing and vandalizing vending machine
obtaining saw, taking a saw to the place and cutting it up is actual work and requires some planning ahead
the so called people who vandalize vending machines don't work and don't plan

        Anonymous

a portable buzzsaw would also make a shitload of noise and would not be worth the massive risk of going to jail for the relatively miniscule amount of money in the vending machine. that's assuming they're going for the money, if they literally just want to steal a few drinks then it's definitely not worth even the cost of the buzzsaw.

Do you know why American comics are garbage? Some say it's because of woke politics which is part of it. But unlike Manga, all comics are just about superheroes and thats it where as Manga covers various topics and is a big part of why Manga is killing comics. Vending machines are the same shit. Every vending machine is the same. Coke, Coke Zero, Sprite, Fanta, Desanti. The same drinks over and over and over again no variety, Then you look at a Japanese vending machine and you can get all kinds of crazy shit.
