        2000 calories worth of broccoli has 153 grams of fiber
        that's about 4x the daily recommended amount for a grown man
        overconsumption of fiber will have counterintuitive effects like severe constipation (with a nice dose of paradoxical diarrhea if you end up with an obstruction), gas, and bloating, on top of making it difficult for your body to absorb real nutrients because the fiber soaks it all up.
        it's no wonder that moron got sick from eating broccoli exclusively.
        you can get sick from eating exclusively meat btw, especially if you already eat a lot of carbs, cutting them all out will literally give you literal withdrawal symptoms for a week or two, as your body switches from burning carbs for energy to burning stored fat (i.e. ketosis, the principle behind the ketogenic diet)
