Don't listen to the israeli food pyramid, it caused 50% of americans to become obese/diabetic and thus more prone to cancer and chronic diseases.

If you look at NON-WOKE science you'll find out that the reason humans became so smart is because they started eating meat instead of plants. In other words it's better if ~80% of our calories come from meat and animal fat.

      Anonymous

Americans were fine with the food pyramid while the breads and pastas were still made without vegetable oils (either with plain simple water or butter or olive oil). It tracks at a roughly 1:1 ratio with the addition of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet.
It's not strictly exercise as women largely never exercised like men did for physical labor jobs, and it's not sugar as apple pie and donuts were a mainstay of american culture / diet as long as they could be had, well before the age of radio.

I thought poly unsaturated were the good ones

        >as long as they could be had
Sugar and high-fructose corn syrup in particular were a lot less common back then, so "as often as possible" was less than the healthy limit.

I thought poly unsaturated were the good ones

The israeli food pyramid strikes again
Saturated fat is cut out of an animal or found inside animal byproducts and is your body's expected primary fuel source. It is perfectly safe unless you eat more than your body wants, which is difficult since it is also the primary trigger for fullness
Monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats are also important, but they're extremely sensitive to heat and if overcooked, will degrade into trans fats and cause oxidative stress all over the place. Unsaturated fats from nuts and raw fish are generally trustworthy, along with gently extracted oils like olive and coconut, but the unsaturated fats in mass-produced "vegetable" (euphemism for seed) oil are guaranteed to be overcooked during production

      No...
      >and it's not sugar as apple pie and donuts were a mainstay of american culture
      Also NO...
These were a rare treat, NOT a mainstay...
      Also HIGHLY SEASONAL.
apples and donuts were a fall thing when the apple trees were casting fruit, and the pigs were being culled and rendered for the winter.
I so wanted to like your post--but it is full of FAIL.

Diets throughout history have always varied... meat didn't make us smarter it just gave us more energy to exert to build up infrastructure to dick around with stuff to expand our knowledge or concentrate more on single tasks.

We can live off very simple diets. But eating 80% meat in your diet isn't good for you.

They all say they "hate steroids, eww." He had a physique like contemporary steroid users, the people he trained all used steroids, and his excuse was that he believed if you eat enough eggs then coincidentally it would have the same effect as steroids. "See? I look like I'm steroids but I just eat eggs. It must be working!"

NTA but I'd much rather follow the example of someone who lived to be nearly 80 and looked like a greek statue than pretty much anyone else, steroids or not, you don't look that way by just injecting magic juice and then sitting on your ass eating twinkies all day. It still requires a good diet and rigorous exercise to look that good, if you take steroids and eat like shit and train like a lazy moron you end up looking like picrel

I've never had steak and eggs for breakfast before. Is it actually good? Do people really have it often?
Steak is good, and eggs are good. But steak at breakfast sounds unusual, and for some reason more hassle than something like bacon and eggs, even though it might be easier.
Also in this economy, what steak should a person be eating for breakfast?

      Anonymous

there's a cut of meat called breakfast steak, which I think is just sirloin or some other cheap cut.
either way, the easier way to do it in my opinion is ground beef. cook the beef in a skillet / pan, then just fry up some eggs in the same pan with the meat still in it. or scramble.

for me it's scrambled egg with beef mince

It's been proven over and over again that dietary cholesterol is NOT a contributor of blood serum cholesterol and that the whole big bullshit idea of it was promoted by one massive fricktard millionaire who ran a massive, vainglorious campaign which in turn put even MOAR Ameritards at risk for dietary related disease.
    Just remember:
Your brain is made of mostly cholesterol, and it runs off of PURE GLUCOSE when it's functioning properly.
Fructose is a sugar that is the body is designed to store, which is a wonderful thing when you're about to head into a long cold winter. Funny how that works, huh?

There are probably some health issues with excessive red meat consumption but replacing one meal a day with steak would likely be an improvement over the average american's daily diet.
