i bought marsala for the first time ever earlier this year and i've been using it to drink and cook but i'm running out. i don't have an italian store so close to my new place so i assumed i could freely substitute it with any port/sherry stuff i can find at the supermarket. i see i was wrong.
pic related is the most common type i usually see, is that fine? i pretty much only use the marsala for sauces, to sip on alongside dessert and a couple of capfuls in tiramisu cream and coffee
