>bought them for the protein content
>didn't expect anything crazy, flavor-wise
I'm surprised, though. They have that Cracker Barrel-styled crispiness. Flavor is good. I'm liking these.
>Inb4 "why no syrup?"
I didn't want any extra sugar. Butter is all I need.

Good morning to you, too, sir! Wakey wakey!
I work nights frick off and shove your pancakes up your ass
Why aren't you in bed then?
because its depressing to wake up in the afternoon and just wait around until its time to work, I'd rather drink and shitpost on Culinaly after work
I know that feel. I only work mid shift, but I still base my sleep schedule on it. My coworkers give me shit about it. No I don't want to be up for several hours, go to work, then go to bed once I get home.
Worked the night shift at UPS, it was cozy as frick to roll into a Denny's at 9 am eat some unlimited pancakes then go to sleep
how are the blueberries? seems like they'd be weird in a dry mix
They're just dehydrated. To make the batter, you pour 3/4 cup of water into a 1 cup of mix. The blueberries are very tiny but they put a lot in the mix.
We have a box of that mix in our pantry right now! Not the blueberry though, the plain. I use it to make waffles. The results are, as you say, surprisingly good for high-protein boxed mix.
Excellent. I'd definitely recommend trying out the blueberry kind, anon.
I'm curious as to how the waffles turn out, considering the pancakes are the skinny kind that get crispy on the edges. If only i had a waffle maker...
IME the waffles come out dense and don't rise as much as their non-protein-packed counterparts. They're kind of chewy and don't tend to get as crisp on the outside. They're still good though, and the idea that eating a high-protein meal satiates you for a long time is in my experience true. I'll definitely look for the blueberry mix next time I'm at Ralphs.
i ate this and now I fantasize about fat old bikers railing me
Look at the ingredients, its literally just normal pancake mix with a scoop of whey thrown in. I can't believe someone with an IQ above 75 would willingly pay full price. It's marketed towards the low carb morons for a reason
So? They're still good, homosexual.
Oh ok sorry!
>It's marketed towards the low carb morons for a reason
It isn't marketed towards the low carb morons though, it's marketed towards the Culinaly morons, you fricking moron.
>It isn't marketed towards the low carb morons though, it's marketed towards the Culinaly morons,
Those are the same fricking thing.
Found the moron
Yeah bodybuilders would never eat rice and pasta of fruit or bread. God forbid they perform well and build muscle in an efficient manner
Their oatmeal was surprising bad. I am unclear why. The pancakes aren't bad though.
Agreed. The oatmeal is just soupy and tastes...off.
Nah these suck.
Buying pancake mix never made sense to me, it's just flour, milk, eggs and butter. Don't you have all that stuff already?
I keep pancake mix in the pantry for those early mornings when I can't be trusted to cook for real. It's a great convenience product for when the coffee hasn't kicked in yet. Plus which it's really economical and keeps basically forever.
So it's like flour but instead of an easy to scoop from bag its in a hard to scoop from box?
Its pretty cheap and 'cakes come out to like 40 cents a serving, I'll pay that rather than have to mix up my own shit every time
