Don't underestimate how big of a change just higher quality meat, veg, cheese, and breads will make. Sandwiches embody the principle of being just the sum of their parts more than anything.
I think Kyoani sucks too though, Hyouka is an extremely polished cinderblock.
buy nicer bread. it makes a huge difference. get some good ciabatta instead of the sliced bread.
your sandwich is a classic combo, i wouldn't want to overcomplicate it if thats what you enjoy most, but it's definitely worth seeing if the more expensive cheese is worth it, whether it's worth making your own pickles or bread to you, getting the nicer brand of peppers, mustard etc.

nicer bread maybe, maybe swap out pepperjack and put pepper spread on instead(pic related). Or swap pepperchinis for banana peppers. It basically sounds like youre halfway to a cuban sandwich, so maybe go more towards that, more ham, maybe some bbq sauce or something to get a taste like the pulled pork would have.
