I always try to bring home some cabbage because mom likes it stir-fried or in salad. I like it, but I always end up throwing away a quarter of it because I don't know many ways to prepare it. So far I got: >Coleslaw shredded in the blender and strained before mixing it with the dressing. >Cabbage boiled, chopped and mixed with batter to make deep-fried cakes I serve with sour cream.
I tried doing potato and cabbage pierogi but my dough ended up too stiff and also tried doing cabbage rolls, but most came apart in the pot. I should try those again sometime.
Any time you're cooking food in a frying pan you can toss a bit of cabbage in. Eggs, steak, chicken. Whatever. Or if you're roasting something, you can toss a bit of cabbage in.
>chop up some bacon, onion, and cabbage >fry the bacon in a pan until crispy >sautee the cabbage and onion until soft >add in water or broth and simmer for 5-10 mins >serve with a copious amount of hot sauce

Polish cabbage rolls are my go to meal when I have cabbage. I usually use chilli tomatoes on mine too with the tomato sauce because I like them a bit spicy.

It looks like nothing much, but it tastes great. It's home food, not restaurant food.
