-Baked fish is rich in omega 3 and 6 and will help with body aches. It's also easy on the stomach. Tilapia or cod will do.
Canned tuna or sardines would also help.
-Spicy, steamy soups will help open your sinuses up and cause mucus to run.
-Coffee and tea can irritate a sore throat, but I drink it anyway because sipping a hot beverage is pleasantly distracting from being sick

But the best thing to take: medicine. Prednisone will knock a cold on its ass.

Here's my recipe I've tested it with great success, it combines many natural "antibiotics".

. in a big pot, cook 2 glasses of water, ginger, onion, garlic, a bit of hot pepper, some eucaliptus, a bit. Bring to a boil and inmediately stop and put out of the fire

. add, a glass of pure freshly squeezed lemon, a glass of whisky or similar 40º alcohol, a good ammount of honey ( the more natural the honey the better)

Drink while hot. Get in comfy pajamas and go to sleep. You will sweat, and that is precisely the point. So keep a fresh pajama and a towel next to your bed. When you wake up full of sweat, dry the sweat with the towel or take a shower, get in your bed and repeat the proccess.

The point is sleeping and sweating and let the natural antibiotics do the thing.
The part of a glass of whisky I got it from an actual doctor, the rest is a remix of grandma's remedies from diferent families including mine.

1 piece of ginger (5 cm)
    3 slices of lemon
    3 tablespoons of sugar
    3 teaspoons of honey
1 garlic, peeled (if very large use half)
    2 glasses of water

In a mug, burn the sugar and then add the water and give it a stir.

Add the rest of the ingredients and after boiling, leave on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Drain in a bottle and keep in the fridge.

I am very sick, worked-from-home today, felt like death the entire time, even worked late (supposed to be done at 3 but my stuff ran long until like 4:30) and wanted to get sloshed to unwind from the work-headache, but decided I shouldn't, so I bought a whole big fricking load of McDick's to treat myself instead.
Then I picked up a pint of vodka on the way home anyway and I haven't even touched the food (or eaten all day, really) but slammed like 3.5 shots chased with lemon-iced-tea.
Is this unironically helpful? I'm kinda blissy right this second while the booze absorbs into my bloodstream, but I'm really worried about the come-down mixing with the upper-respiratory infection and making me wanna die. Oh well. Too late.

I work construction and basically the only reason people don't come into work is if they're dying, out partying, or still noticeably drunk. As a result, colds and flus tend to spread around jobsites and there are a couple weeks every year where everyone blames everyone else for getting them sick.
