they’re all trash
Unless you are trans and want to grow breasts, stay away from them.
Almond milk is probably the notable exception from what I’ve heard
It’s the closest to dairy milk when it comes to getting nutrients, but I’ve found it to be kind of watery and, like
said, production of almond milk is ironically worse for the environment than simply sticking to dairy.
Real milk has tons of estrogen from the cows hopped up on the hormones that make them produce milk.
They all stand out in their own way of being “not milk.” Some have their uses for me. Coconut milk for some Indian dishes. Almond milk in shakes for when I’m cutting carbs. Other than those two uses I stick with milk. Almond milk production is actually pretty terrible for the environment. Almonds are a very water-heavy crop and the process for creating almond milk produces a LOT of waste.
Oatmilk is pretty comfy in smoothies, and I love coconut milk for the same reasons as this anon
Not sure with the rest
It's not milk, its water with ground up plant matter and sugar added to make it palatable, none of these are even remotely good for you and are just playing off people's empathy to sell worthless crap to morons.
Coconut milk is the only thing that can arguably come close, and it's not overly processed, just make sure they aren't adding sugar to it, it has some natural sugar.
Unsweetened oatmeal is just like water with more flavor and a bit of calcium+fibre. It's great for coffee, not much besides that, but it does its job well.
>"One thing is clear. All milk alternatives are far better for the planet than dairy. A 2018 study by researchers at the University of Oxford showed that producing a glass of dairy milk results in almost three times more greenhouse gas emissions than any plant-based milk and it consumes nine times more land than any of the milk alternatives. (Land is required to pasture the cows and grow their feed, which the animals belch out in the form of methane.)"

Good for the enviroment? Are you moronic? They are literally bulldozing the rainforests in order to grow the grains used on plant based milk!
>They are literally bulldozing the rainforests in order to grow loads of grains used to feed livestock which they plan to use to feed people, instead of using much less of it to feed people
An Oxford study is referenced here
Here's a (you) for the laughable attempt to discredit those findings
As someone who actually lives in a country whose rainforest is being destroyed, let me tell you something pretty grim...
The soy that they are growing there is NOT used for cattle feed, but rather is meant to be broken down into isolated molecules to be used in the food industry to engineer new products with a larger shelf life and cheaper production cost.
The cattle here is nearly all grass fed, as we have wide pastures due to our colonial past, in which the vegetation was cut down completely in order to make room for plantations, that would supply the first world nations of Europe with sugar, coffee, oranges and cotton.
Everything they have told you about the situation here is a lie.
And above all, the main cause of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest is neither soy nor cattle pastures, but rather illegal exotic wood trafficking, which fetches obscene prices when turned into luxurious furniture for the super rich. Not to mention the ore mining performed by EU multinational companies, who pollute the water and soil, destroy the vegetation and fauna and profit billions of dollars every year, while they get away with a "eco friendly" propaganda that they are helping preserve the forest by donating a couple millions of dollars, which do not even begin to cover the cost of trying to repair the damage it has caused to the ecosystem and local native populations, who are being wiped out in violent armed conflicts financed by these multinational megacorps.
So, with that said, please be more selective of companies you support, just because they have a neat little logo saying they are friends of the rainforest, does not mean they really are.
> The cattle here is nearly all grass fed
Grass fed is not the same as grass finished. Grass fed just means they graze when they are still immature. They then go to feedlots where they eat corn and soy when they are adults. The amount of grass finished cows is less than 1% off all dairy and beef. You're completely delusional if you actually think the milk you're getting from the supermarket comes from cows that are grazing on grass all day until they die.
Nice, a fricking gringo trying to tell me how the cows in my country are raised...
Just because your country is a dystopian hellhole in which factory farming is the norm does not mean everywhere else is as well.
Nobody gives a FRICK about your shithole country, loser. Shut the frick up when humans are speaking.
You claim not to care about my shithole country, and yet is discussing deforestation on MY COUNTRY!
Go eat another burguer, you fat fricking gringo, and stop trying to tell us how we should deal with our own country.
Stop sending all your garbage here, plz & thx
>Stop sending all your garbage here, plz & thx
I would fricking love to, if you were just so kind as to STOP IMPORTING OUR GARBAGE!
WHAT THE FRICK IS WRONG WITH YOUR COUNTRY?
You can only blame yourselves for what you let in!
What do you even cook in Mexico? Just whatever you can put on a tortilla?
Mexicans only understand beans and rice. The tortilla was simply a happy accident
Wrong latin american country, bro.
We eat churrasco with farofa and bolinho de aipin.
Also, we tend to stay the frick away from North America, and usually immigrate to Europe instead.
Also, frick mexicans! Those c**ts gave us all a bad name by association!
>This article is sponsored by Almond Milk

love this meme. Cows are ruminants that graze in the vast, desolate terrain unsuitable for commercial crops that makes up most of the middle of the US.
Does land have no other use?
Not really where there the other anon is talking about. Ranchers will own thousands of acres that COULD be buildable, but it would require a lot of infrastructure to be built and zoomers don't deserve to own property. I think it's being used most efficiently right now.
>Hurr durr everything belongs to me, I need to exterminate nature so I can be a mouth breathing melk drinker
Yes. Frick you and your apartment dwelling, bug eating kind. A sip of milk is worth 20 of you.
>zoomers don't deserve to own property
Based.
uh, no? I mean, if you want to live in the middle of fricking nowhere, grassy outcrop and flatlands for miles and miles, be my guest. If the owners of these lands got more money building real estate than letting cattle graze on it, it would be so.
Good luck trying to grow almonds in the middle of the Australian outback. Easier to just let somee cows roam free and fix the damage the abos did with there fire hunting.
if you think commercials farms look anything like that picture you are a fricking capital moron, holy shit
frick me it's the (<[{Guardian}]>)
>Greenhouse gases
Meme science ignore it
vegans need to be removed from science. they start with their biases and work out a way to prove them because they're a cult.
Oatly full fat, but I don't drink milk straight, I only use it for coffee/matcha and baking
I use it for those purposes as well, but also cereal if I’m lazy. Not a dry cereal fan.
Soy and rice taste like shit. Every other one is great for giving a different twist to a smoothie.
Soy milk is also unhealthy for you for different reasons for men and women.
Fresh soy milk is delicious. If you ever get the chance to try it from a chinese or korean place that has the machine and does the full press and cook, it's like the creamiest beautiful milkshake with uncomparable nuttiness. The stuff in the carton is shit, I'll agree.
Also extensive cooking or fermentation destroys phytoestrogens, so you're not gonna grow man breasts or lose T count with soy milk, tofu, or soy sauce/miso. Edamame definitely will affect you, though, all the hormones are still intact.
Jörd oat and hemp is the only one I've managed to find that isn't full of sneed oil
Hemp milk sounds interesting.
i got a nut you can milk, homosexual
Only if you have Filipino ancestry.
i got a pino you can fill, homosexual

I want to frick that one from Bangkok that makes banana roti though she's not that hot looking with the mask off unfortunately. Whatever she cooks looks repulsive as well, bananas suck.
coconut milk (ie the canned type you make curries with) is cheating, but clearly better than the other milks, just be aware that even a small serving of say ~60ml is going to be 4 times the calories as a milk alternative, saturated fat bomb. maybe a replacement for heavy cream for americans, but not a 'milk replacement'.
oat is my preferred non-milk
almond & macadamia are okay.
the milk replacement version of coconut milk always tastes really watered down to me.
soy is garbage (and no I don't mean the alt-right bro-science reason).
>bro science
>doctors prescribe high soy diets to post menopausal women to mitigate the effects of their estrogen levels dropping
You're a herd animal. Get in the cage, I'm gonna milk ya
>he fell for the alt-right bro science

Have you actually looked at any of the research, or better yet, gained an understanding of how these different chemicals interact in/with our bodies and why they do what they do, or do you just repeat the opinions of the last blog you read
Hey you should buy my book, 5 Reasons why Anon is Gay (and that's a good thing!)
it explains why being a gay makes you live longer. In short, #1 if you are gay then you can post anything on the internet and nobody can insult you because you already know you're gay. #2 gay people can be super racist and nobody knows how to respond to it. #3 you can eat soybeans straight from the tap in middle America and farmers won't shoot you for eating their crops off the stalks for fear of being homophobic.#4 if you go to China they will promote your social media accounts to prove to their people how gay the West is. #5 if you travel back in time you might get to have sex with Hadrian the Roman emperor, the most badass homosexual that ever lived

You're arguing against a misconception. Nobody who understands this shit says that phytoestrogens or xenoestrogens reduce testosterone levels, or damage sperm, for that matter. Neither do they increase estrogen. Dumbasses like to make those claims, I'll give you that, but they're wrong.
What they do is bind to estrogen receptors and activate them. Even then, it's not that simple. Some phytoestrogens bind to the receptors but send a weaker signal than normal estrogen, so in effect, they actually reduce the effects of estrogen in the body by prohibiting stronger signals. Others are stronger than natural estrogen, and so increase the effects of estrogen in the body. Many xenoestrogens are a different beast altogether, because the body has difficulty eliminating them in the outputs, so they often accumulate in bodyfat and do their thing repeatedly.
>Others are stronger than natural estrogen, and so increase the effects of estrogen in the body
Any evidence of this happening?
Yes.
gay cope frog spotted
I like chocolate almond milk because it's tasty and it's helping to destroy california.
Well, you make a compelling case
BRB, going to grab some at the store rn
First off none of that is “milk” so…
>Almond milk was used as a substitute for animal milk in the Middle Ages in areas that followed Catholic fasting doctrines. Historian Carolyn Walker Bynum notes that: For example, a thin split-pea puree, sometimes enriched with fish stock or almond milk (produced by simmering ground almonds in water), replaced meat broth on fast days; and almond milk was a general (and expensive) substitute for cow's milk.[6]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almond_milk
>Almond milk has been a fixture of European cookbooks since at least the 1200s, as it was seen as a nutritious alternative to meat and animal-based milk during fasting periods like Lent. And some research indicates that almond milk’s history might go back even farther in the Middle East.

>NOOO IT'S NOT REAL (COW) MILK I'M NOW CONFUSED HELP ME Black personMAN
Not the most delicious plant based milk but definitely a very healthy plant-based milk you could drink is self-made oat milk. It's really easy to make and it's far healthier than store bought plant based milks or diary milk.
How about trying some semen you fricking homosexual?
oat milk the rest are eh
Coconut milk isn't a milk substitute, it has like 4 times the calories
Its a better substitute for heavy cream if anything
I've seen coconut milk in cartons next to cow milk. It has a similar amount of calories per cup there. The canned stuff is what's much higher in calories.
Silk’s coconut milk is very good. I like using it in certain recipes or even just in cereals. It tastes like coconuts and not like musty water like unfortunately a lot of brands taste like.
That's the gayest thing I've seen this year but it's early in the year.
>reducing the consumption of animal products is associated with an all-cause reduction in mortality but...it's just GAY ok?
Dumb homosexual
Would that be because vegans often consume less calories? Calorie restriction is associated with increased lifespan. But it doesn't mean animal products are inherently bad, and studies show vegans often having more deficiencies than omnivores.
These studies are done over very large population samples and I don't think there's any systematic difference in calorie intake
Most vegans are unhealthy and even eat a shitton of calories e.g. with bread and sweets
But the evidence is simple, keep a high protein intake and stay as plant-based as possible
Your brain needs animal fats and cholesterol
Coconut milk is very good. Almond milk (the kind with few ingredients and isn't loaded with stabilizers and shit) is also good. Soy milk gets a bad rap, but I think it's quite tasty. You just have to get the ones that they sell in Asian grocery stores that's allowed to taste like soy milk rather than the ones they load with sugar and other flavorings to taste like cow milk.
I've tried unsweetened almond and cashew milks. Prefer the cashew. I can really taste the bitterness of almond skins in almond milk.
Cashew milk is ok. It's a bit too thin to be eaten with cookies or something, but for my oatmeal/cereal it works just fine. Kinda like a skim milk that tastes vaguely of cardboard.
Try hazelnut milk. None of that bitterness that also drove me away from the almond one, and a more rounded taste compared to cashews
oat milk for coffee, rice for cereal, coconut (not the watery carton stuff) for baking. still cant beat real milk in most applications but i like that oat milk can stay in my fridge for weeks without going weird
I prefer oat milk in milkshakes/smoothies, not a vegan or nuffin.
I think it’s because it’s sweet and creamy, so it works better in dessert recipes and milkshakes.
almond milk kinna thump tho
I made cashew milk one time and it was almost exactly like dairy cream. Store bought ones, I have no idea.
Oat milk is extremely sweet, might be ok in cereal.
If I'm going to drink it I would still get EdenSoy, been my homie for probably 25 years.
None of those abominations are milk. I suggest you take each bottle and slowly shove them up your ass and moan as loudly as you can do while doing so. After you completed the deed then you are to take each of those satanical spawns and promptly throw them all into a trash can before lighting said trash can on fire. It is the only way you can redeem yourself after making such a horrible decision on your part OP.
I've only had oatmilk and I thought it was fine. Very sweet and light compared to real milk so it might be good in coffee or tea.
To be frank, I don't see the point in it. If you don't want to drink milk but want to still get the benefits of drinking milk, then plant substitutes don't work.
are you also interested in sucking wiener? plant based milk is for homosexuals.
oat milk best tasting
coconut milk for cooking
soy milk best for becoming a woman
From those labels and the typefaces it all looks like moronic hippy shit designed by school kids.
Soy milk is interesting and I think it can stand up on its own as a drink rather than just a substitute for proper milk
Oat milk was ok
t. have 'lactose intolerant' sister
>malk
it better have my daily requirement of vitamin R
Almond milk is good. Salmon milk is better.
The only one that's worth a damn is coconut milk. The rest is trash
>goat milk
>cow milk
>coconut milk
POWER GAP
>everything else (trash)
the sweetened stuff that's mass produced tastes like a milkshake
I enjoy Oat milk for coffee, it's quite creamy - like the milk left over in cereals
I personally like rice dream tbh
There's no correlation between tit size and milk production
It’s all shit compared to regular milk
It taste better, it is better for the environment, and its healthier
No it isn’t most plant based milk is much higher in sugar and has less nutrients
You also don’t know shit about the environment. The fertilizer runoff is 1000x worse than muh co2 and methane
sure, and electric car batteries end up being worse for the environment too because of all the rare earth metals and extra mining they require. you fricking chuds suck ass with your contrarianism
Yea because you know what’s not bad for the environment…. Co2 you complete guillible moron.
i think milk sub ice creams are better than real ice creams
Plant Oat Unsweetened and Almond Breeze Unsweetened
>plant based
>because it's made in a plant
do yourself a favor and make your own almond milk.
>everyone just buy a new car that will save us
>world's largest industrial polluters pushing this meme
>eat your bugs plebes
Lol have you seen a single Exxon or bp commercial that hasn’t been pro electric cars or pushed the climate change narrative ?
Oat milk is good and in my experience the closest you can get to whole milk in texture but since I have no dietary restrictions I'd rather just have real milk.
Coconut milk is good for cooking Thai stuff as well as making golden milk and other froufrou Thai drinks. It's my favorite to drink on its own.
Pea milk is interesting for the macros (8g per 12oz). I don't love the taste but I don't hate it either. I use it in protein shakes.
Soy milk froths pretty well and I like to use it for matcha lattes. I also use it to make tofu pudding. It's a little too sweet for me outside of these instances.
Almond milk is bottom tier for me. Watery, not that tasty. I also read that it's the worst plant milk if you care about it being environmentally friendly.
I have yet to try cashew, flax, and rice milk.
Thank you for reading my milk blog. This post has inspired me to pick up the last 3 next time I'm at the store.
Soy milk is great but only if the box is covered in moon runes. Western soy milk goes through so much processing to remove the soy flavour but it ends up tasting like chemicals
