The texture is like chalk, the taste is something special and unique. Almost creamy maybe? I might just be severely calcium deficient or something but it's manna from heaven to me.
I am also a semi-alcoholic (binge drinker, not daily) so this may play into it. I am trying to exercise restraint because I know they will frick you up if you overdo it.

when i was an acoholic id eat like six a day. true facts, if you eat enough calcium it builds up in your joints and fricks you up. I acquired TMJ and had two baker's cysts. When I got dry and quit eating them all that went away.

I know they changed the formula somehow recently, like the last 5 or 10 years maybe, I think objectively the dosage is the same assuming you buy the right ones but the flavor has improved and the chalk factor is lower than what it used to be.
