My wife bakes pork scotch with some kind of mustard marinade, slices it and puts it in a whole wheat pita with red onion, red cabbage and radish all marinated in salt & vinegar.
That's most days unless she slow cooked ribs which is a treat for me.

Sucks. I'm technically entitled to a 30 minute lunch but literally everyone just "works through lunch" and just eats at their desk. Only one boomer actually sits down in the break room which blows my mind since he's also chosen a 9-5 schedule and commutes an hour each way.

I bring what I like to eat for lunch /duh.
    This is easy!
I also add a frozen water bottle to my lunch bag and do NOT use the company fridge whatsoever.
For some random day I forget my lunch bag, I have a microwave-vented lid soup bowl and a can of progresso in my desk, to enjoy with crackers or slice of bread, if I dig deeper into my desk.

Lunch might be leftovers from the last night (or from the freezer from like a week beforehand, in a portioned container). Or it is a simple egg salad, chicken salad sandwich, or a deli turkey and cheese. If it's chilly outside, I might use a ciabata roll and nuke a ham and cheddar sandwich a few seconds to get melty. I might go through a period of making a flavored cream cheese and smoked turkey wrap in a wrapout lavash , with a handful of veggies and lettuces.

I make a burrito bowl type thing made to microwave. It's pretty good and can be made in bulk
    meat
    >Ground beef made with normal taco seasoning
    >once beef browns, throw in onion, and red bell pepper
    >once softened, dump in a can of fire roasted tomatoes, some better than bullion chick paste and a touch of water to scrape the fond
    >leave some liquid so it doesn't dry out in microwave
    black beans
    >dry mostly, easy to make in pressure cooker
Quinoa (only time I prefer it to rice really)
    >made in a Spanish rice style, a touch extra water to keep it hydrated
    >Be sure to put a Serrano pepper or 2 for some heat
and top it with a little pepper jack. Filling, easy to make in bulk and reheats well. You're not making steak to eat in the wage cage

For me, it's the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra McChicken sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.

One time I asked for McChicken sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, "Wow, three for free!" and the nice friendly McDonald's worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 3-for-free!".

Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 3-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me three packets. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald's restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs.

I even dip my fries in McChicken sauce, it's delicious! What a great restaurant.
